Emily Hoffman is an academic and test prep tutor based in New York City.

I am a warm, supportive, rigorous tutor who specializes in SAT and ACT prep and academic tutoring in English (all levels) and Math (middle and early high school). Over the past decade, I have tutored hundreds of students across New York City at schools such as Friends, Riverdale, Avenues, Brooklyn Tech, and Dalton, where I have also taught SAT prep courses. I also teach students remotely all over the country.

I am a graduate of Yale University (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa). I am currently pursuing a PhD at Columbia University. My writing has been published in BOMB, The New Republic, Ploughshares, and The Threepenny Review.
